The BCML lab was previously known as the Systems Modelling and Machine Learning (SMML) Lab, which was based at Aberdeen University and led by Dr Wei Pang when he was a Senior Lecturer there until 2019.
We are focusing on developing novel bio-inspired algorithms and machine learning solutions and apply them to solve a range of problems. Specifically, we are interested in applying bio-inspired computing to develop more efficient machine learning solutions. We are also interested in robustness, accountability, and fairness in machine learning.
