Andy Edmondson is working as a part-time RA on the EPSRC-funded PRIME project. In PRIME, he is using Machine Learning to evaluate and improve the fairness of online service delivery.
At the same time, Andy is a PhD student currently working on hybrid approaches to strategic decision making for Reinforcement Learning agents operating within search and rescue scenarios. His PhD is funded by EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Robotics and Autonomous Systems (CDT-RAS), hosted at Edinburgh Centre for Robotics., a joint effort of Heriot-Watt and Edinburgh Universities. He is supervised by Professor Ron Petrick.
