Dr Michael Lones is an Associate Professor at the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
His research covers topics in optimisation, machine learning, data science, complex systems and non-standard computation, with applications to problems in biology, medicine, robotics and security.
