Yuchen Pan, supported by the James Watt Scholarship at Heriot-Watt University, is undertaking his PhD under the guidance of Dr. Chengjia Wang (first supervisor) and Dr. Wei Pang. His research is focused on decentralized, privacy-preserving, and explainable federated learning for medical image analysis. He is part of the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (MACS) at Heriot-Watt.
